Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation Limited (TTCL) is committed to safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of all its users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, store, and, where necessary, disclose personal and non-personal information obtained through the T-BURUDANI PLUS mobile application, website, and related streaming platforms (collectively referred to as the “Service”).

  1. Information We Collect

To provide a seamless streaming experience, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account & Registration Information: When you log in (especially via TTCL FTTH credentials), we collect your name, phone number and account ID.
  • Device & Technical Information: We collect information about the devices you use to access the service (e.g., device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and MAC address). This is required to optimize video playback and actively manage your 5-device limit.
  • Viewing & Usage Data: We collect detailed information about your interactions with our content. This includes your watch history, search queries, paused/resumed playback markers, watch lists, duration of viewing, and interactions with the app interface.
  • Network Information: We identify your network provider and connection type (e.g., Wi-Fi, cellular, broadband). Specifically, we detect if you are connected to a TTCL FTTH network to enable zero-rating (no data cost) features and dynamically adjust video bitrate to your network bandwidth.
  • Billing & Subscription Data: If you purchase premium subscriptions or pay-per-view content, we or our third-party payment processors will collect necessary payment and transaction history. (Note: We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers).
  1. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and deliver the T-BURUDANI PLUS streaming service, including cross-device syncing (e.g., allowing you to pause on a phone and resume on a TV).
  • Authentication & Access: To verify your TTCL FTTH subscription status and manage concurrent streaming limits across your registered devices.
  • Personalization: To tailor your entertainment experience by offering customized content recommendations based on your viewing history.
  • Security & DRM: To monitor and prevent fraudulent activity, account sharing violations, and unauthorized use of accounts. We also use device data to enforce Digital Rights Management (DRM) and geo-blocking restrictions as required by our content licensing agreements.
  • Communication: To send you service updates, technical support messages, promotional offers (if you have opted in), and notifications regarding changes to our terms or policies.
  1. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party partners who provide technical infrastructure, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), video hosting, streaming analytics, and customer support.
  • For Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by Tanzanian law, court orders, or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of the business continuation.

 

  1. Data Retention and Security

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures including data encryption during transit and at rest to protect your personal information and viewing habits from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you, including your watch history.
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data. Users can request account deletion directly within the mobile app settings or by contacting our support team.
  • Opt-Out of receiving promotional communications at any time.
  1. Children’s Privacy

T-BURUDANI PLUS includes a dedicated "Kid-Friendly" section. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Terms and Conditions of T-Burudani

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR T-BURUDANI PLUS

Effective Date: April 15, 2026

Welcome to T-BURUDANI PLUS, the official premium streaming service provided by Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL). By accessing, downloading, or using our mobile application, website, or associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease use of the Service.

  1. Eligibility and Subscription
  • FTTH Inclusive Access: T-BURUDANI PLUS is provided as an inclusive, value-added service exclusively for active TTCL Faiba Mlangoni Kwako (FTTH) subscribers.
  • Account Status: Your access to the Service is strictly contingent upon maintaining an active, paid-up TTCL FTTH subscription in good standing. If your FTTH service is suspended, canceled, or terminated for any reason, your access to T-BURUDANI PLUS will be immediately restricted or revoked.
  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Minors may only use the Service under the supervision of an adult.
  1. Device Limitation (The 5-Device Rule)
  • Simultaneous Streaming: Each T-BURUDANI PLUS account is permitted to log in and stream content on a maximum of five (5) unique devices at any given time.
  • Device Management: You are responsible for managing your registered devices within your account settings.
  • Account Security: Attempts to bypass device limits via unauthorized software, VPNs, or account sharing outside of your immediate household are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account credentials.
  1. Data Usage and Zero-Rating
  • Unlimited Streaming: Zero data charges (zero-rating) apply only when you are actively connected to your registered TTCL Faiba Mlangoni Kwako Wi-Fi network.
  • Mobile Data: If you access T-BURUDANI PLUS via mobile networks (3G/4G/5G) or any non-TTCL FTTH internet connection, standard data charges from your respective Internet Service Provider (ISP) or mobile network operator will apply. TTCL is not responsible for any data overage charges incurred.
  1. Permitted Use and Intellectual Property
  • Personal Use Only: The Service and all content viewed through it are for your personal, private, and non-commercial use only. Public screening, broadcasting, or exhibition of the content in commercial venues (e.g., bars, hotels, restaurants, cinemas) is a direct violation of copyright law and these terms.
  • Content Protection: All content on T-BURUDANI PLUS is protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) and international copyright laws. You may not record, copy, download (except where explicitly permitted by a download feature), reproduce, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the application, its proprietary video player, or any content within it.
  • Geographic Restrictions: Content may be subject to geo-blocking based on regional licensing agreements. You agree not to use Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) or proxy servers to bypass these geographic restrictions.

 

  1. Content Availability
  • Dynamic Library: TTCL reserves the right to modify, add, or remove channels, movies, and TV shows from the T-BURUDANI PLUS library at any time, without prior notice.
  • Service Interruptions: While we strive to provide 24/7 access, the availability of live TV and Video On Demand (VOD) may be affected by licensing shifts, technical maintenance, or broadcaster blackouts.
  1. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
  • "As Is" Basis: The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. TTCL makes no warranties regarding the resolution, quality, or uninterrupted delivery of the content, which may vary based on your device and internet speed.
  • Force Majeure: TTCL and its technical partners shall not be held liable for any service interruptions, data loss, or performance degradation caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to regional power outages, natural disasters, or individual hardware failures.
  1. Termination of Service
  • Termination Right: TTCL retains the sole right to terminate, restrict, or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice or liability, at our sole discretion.
  • Breach of Terms: Immediate termination will occur if you are found to be in violation of these terms, specifically regarding illegal content distribution, piracy, harassment of other users, or unauthorized account sharing.
  1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal disputes arising from the use of this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

  1. Modifications to Terms

TTCL reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to users via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated terms.

T-Burudani FAQs

You May Ask

 

  1. Yes! As a valued TTCL Fiber to the Home (FTTH) customer, T-BURUDANI PLUS is included as an exclusive benefit of your home internet package. You can enjoy our full library of movies and Live TV at no additional subscription cost as long as your FTTH account is active.

 

 

2. If you are connected to your TTCL FTTH Wi-Fi at home, streaming is 100% Unlimited and Zero-Rated. This means you can watch as much as you want without any data charges or "MB" deductions.

  • Note: If you use the app on mobile data (3G/4G/LTE) while away from home, standard data charges from your mobile provider will apply.
4. To add a new device, simply log out of the app on one of your current devices. If you no longer have access to an old device, you can go to Settings > Account Management within the app and select "Log Out of All Devices" to reset your slots.

5. To keep the "Unlimited" benefit active, your TTCL FTTH subscription must be paid and active. However, if you know you'll be away from home or offline, you can use our "Download" feature while connected to your home Wi-Fi to save movies directly to your device for offline viewing later.
